Walton Bridge Update……

The new bridge is now well under way and the scale model of the final bridge and road layout is now in a display cabinet in Walton Library. Please take the opportunity to go and see what we have been waiting many years for.
Having spoken with residents in recent weeks whilst canvassing for the Elections there is a good amount of concern amongst residents that the question of traffic queues once the new bridge is completed is really not going to be fully alleviated as we had all hoped. The right turn onto and off Cowey Sale is still going to be the same as today.
There is a chance for everyone to put their concerns and ask questions of the Project Manager from Surrey County Council at a Public Meeting on the 20th June starting at 7:00pm at The Cecil Hepworth Playhouse.
Please go along and see what progress is being made and the next part of the construction will be taking place in the coming months.
