The River Thames Society is hosting an evening talk by Ian Dow. Former Engineering Manager with BBC TV Outside Broadcasts, Ian Dow of Lower Sunbury will be giving a talk on Friday 18th November, 7:30pm at St Nicholas Parish Hall, Church Square, Shepperton TW17 9JY. Walton Playhouse Refurbishment Work is now well underway on the refurbshment of The Playhouse as can be seen from the photograph below. Heritage Day 2011 Another successful Heritage Day was held at Walton Wharf on Saturday.  A couple of showers did not dampen the enthusiasm of those involved, and, as in previous years, there was a steady stream of visitors through the afternoon. Well, event marshalls for the London-Surrey Classic Race were arriving in Walton at 4.00am today some travelling from as far as Derby to ensure the crowds did not cause any safety issues on the day.
